About Bardon Mill Parish

Bardon Mill Parish is part of the community that comprises the hamlets of Bardon Mill, Henshaw, Thorngrafton, Tow House, Westwood and Redburn. It is situated along the banks of the South Tyne and Allen rivers, but extends north of Hadrian's Wall, beyond Broomlee Lough and south as far as Plankey Mill. Its western boundary is also marked by water, that of the Chainley Burn which drops down from Vindolanda and empties into the Tyne by Bardon Mill Station.
